Eric Wood
Eric Elliot Wood (conceived November 22, 1992) is a Canadian expert baseball third baseman in Minor League Baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates' association.
Wood went to Pickering High School in Ajax, Ontario, and Blinn College, in Brenham, Texas. The Oakland Athletics chose Wood in the 37th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft, however he didn't sign, and came back to Blinn for a moment season. The Pittsburgh Pirates chose Wood in the 6th round, with the 196th general choice, of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft. He played for the Altoona Curve of the Class AA Eastern League in 2016. The Pirates welcomed Wood to spring preparing in 2017. Wood will play for the Canadian national baseball group in the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
