Carlos Martínez
Carlos Ernesto Martínez (conceived September 21, 1991) is a Dominican expert baseball pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball (MLB). Initially marked by the Boston Red Sox as a worldwide free operator in 2009, MLB voided his agreement because of disparities over his name and date of birth after disclosures that he was otherwise called Carlos Matias. Nonetheless, he was inevitably cleared of wrongdoing, as it was found that the irregularities emerged because of poor record-keeping. The St. Louis Cardinals marked him in 2010, and he made his MLB presentation May 3, 2013.
Martínez turned into an accord beat 100 prospect in all of Minor League Baseball, and one of the Cardinals' most elevated evaluated prospects. A starter in the small time, he performed essentially in help parts in his initial two seasons in the significant alliances, yet earned a spot in the Cardinals' turn in 2015. Amid the 2013 MLB season, fans gave him the moniker "Little Pedro," because of the likenesses in physical make-up and pitching mechanics to previous Cy Young Award victor Pedro Martínez.
