Hayato Sakamoto (conceived December 14, 1988 in Itami, Hyōgo, Japan) is a Japanese shortstop with the Yomiuri Giants. 

In 2008, Sakamoto turned into the main player in Giants establishment history to begin a season opener while less than 20 years old since Hideki Matsui. He is broadly viewed as a standout amongst the most encouraging youthful stars in all of Japanese expert baseball today.
